Where did the weekend go?
It's was a busy week last week, and I can't believe it is already Monday again (since my last post). The weekends go by so fast, especially with the ACC tournament on, as well as me taking a test on a SATURDAY. On top of that...daylight savings time = a sleepy Monday morning. The bright side is that it is light outside longer after work...so I got to enjoy a walk/run through Duke forest without worrying about it getting dark and spooky! I have signed up for a 5K in Chapel Hill for the Walk/Run for Education as motivation. Jonathan is going to do it with me too!
A couple of highlights from the week/weekend...
I got to play with my Zoom lens around the yard. It is a bit of a challenge to catch birds and focus before they fly away. I enjoyed it though!
Later in the week, a package came for me. Jonathan, being the caring husband that he is, ordered me a new water bottle (BPA free for healthier drinking) and a phone. The phone is not just any ordinary phone, but a big bright green phone that plugs into my cell phone so that I am not putting my cell phone next to my head while I talk for long periods of time. Jonathan read in a magazine (The Week maybe?) that cell phones can causes brain tumors. I have heard this too, but haven't done anything about it. Well- there is a solution! Check it out :)
It cancels out the radiation caused by certain cell phones. |

Love the pictures of the birds. Top right is a big ol' Brown Trasher enjoying the peanut suet. The middle is a male bluebird. Bottom left has a downy woodpecker taking on the peanut feeder and a bluebird on the suet feeder. Lastly, the lower right picture has a beautiful male cardinal in the brush.
ReplyDeleteThe phone article is from an old article I read in Green America's magazine. Here's the link: http://www.greenamerica.org/about/newsroom/editorials/cellphones.cfm
The water bottle is bpa free but also plastic free, since studies have found that plastic water bottles (even those without bpa) tend to leach chemicals (contagions) into liquids, particularly in hot conditions (like your car). The above bottle is from kleen kanteen and is priced similarly to plastic bottles (at least on amazon).
